Sammy Hagar was photographed in early June 1979 during the TEXXAS JAM II concert at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. This photograph was taken with a Canon 35mm camera with a 28 mm lens using Kodachrome 64 film. The photograph was used for the Single 45 rpm "Piece of My Heart" from the Standing Hampton album and on the cover of Song Hits, as well as full page advertisements in Rolling Stone, Hit Parader, Creem, Circus and on T-shirts and posters worldwide.
